These applications
are straightforward, easy-to-learn and can be quickly modified,
at the terminal level, via an easy-to-use edit menu within each
program. Designed for a non-programmer, the user can edit any
of these embedded programs to specifically match their company's
needs following simple on-screen prompts. The Apex embedded
applications gives the user the ability to change database field
names and sizes, allowing for customization of each program.
Also pre-loaded with each unit are the necessary data communication
utilities giving the user a fast, convenient method to transfer
data to and from the Apex and the host PC.
The application source code is provided with each unit in
the event that the user wishes to re-write the application.
The source code can be modified using Power BASIC, or be used
as a base of reference for custom programming.

Asset Inventory
This program streamlines and expedites the collection of asset
inventory data.
The operator goes to the various places where the assets
are located. The operator scans or keys the asset numbers
displayed on tags physically attached to the assets. The operator
enters data by major and minor divisions, which represent
regions, buildings, rooms, or other useful divisions describing
the physical location or department control of assets. In
addition, the operator may enter a description, remarks, and
the condition of each asset.
Route Accounting
This program provides the fundamental steps for ordering and
delivering products.
The user can inventory a customer site to create a replenishment
order, or re-stock a site to create a delivery order.
Once the operator scans or keys customer identification
and the type of transaction, the barcoded item number is scanned
along with the quantity.

Check-In/Check-Out
This program tracks the movement of items and creates an audit
trail. It is used with documents and other items that are stored
in one location, checked out to individuals or groups, and their
return to the storage location.
The operator scans or keys barcoded tracking tags physically
attached to the items being tracked (paper documents, boxes
of documents, tape cassettes, evidence, tools, returnable
supplies, or other items that are circulated within an organization).
In addition to scanning the item number, the operator keys
the latest disposition for the item (Movement Code, Destination
and Return Date).
Physical Inventory
This program expedites the simple physical inventory process.
The operator goes to the physical storage locations for inventory
(office supplies, documents, tools, assets, or other items).
The operator keys or scans the location being inventoried;
scans or keys the item numbers displayed on tags physically
attached to the items; and then keys the quantity of the scanned
items.
