The Apex VM-1 has features that serve to make it an integral part of many common applications. The Apex VM-1 is especially well-suited to applications requiring a terminal that will work well in dirty, humid, or otherwise inhospitable environments.

Here are a few of the most common applications for the Apex VM-1:

  • Shipping/Receiving - The Apex VM-1's weatherproof sealing capability is ideally suited for use on shipping docks to provide accurate shipping and receiving information, even in inclement weather. Assure accurate inventory adjustments when receiving and shipping pallets, drums, and other materials.
  • Warehouse Management - Keep track of inventory movements and status throughout the warehouse operations. Provide on-line work orders for accurate, timely, and efficient use of the warehouse workers.
  • Work-in-Process - Track shop floor inventory movements, and collect other process-related data
  • Labor Reporting - Collect actual hands-on product handling time for job costing purposes. No need for the employee to dismount the vehicle to transact data.
  • Pick-and-Pack - Control and report the real-time status of pick-and-pack jobs and operations. Use in conjunction with fixed-mount Apex VM-1 terminals controlling a conveyor or automated storage equipment
  • Push Cart Applications - The Apex VM-1 vehicle-mount terminal can easily be mounted on a push-cart with battery pack power for narrow aisle and public-access warehouse operations. Battery drain is minimal, allowing for long periods of time between recharging.
  • Fleet Operations - The Apex VM-1's unique, easily adjustable mounting accessories allow terminals to be easily moved from one vehicle to another with minimal hardware duplication. Simply disconnect the quick-release power cable, grab the handy handle on the terminal, loosen the hand-knob on the mounting arm, and move the unit, it's as easy as that. A few seconds is all it requires.
