Scope:
This Technical Bulletin will provide
information necessary to use the DataLight
ROM DOS RemDisk / RemServ communications
utilities with the Apex III.

Installation:
Compsee has provided an installation program
for this Utility that will make all necessary
edits to the user's Autoexec.bat file in
Windows 98 (Config.sys in Windows 95) and
also assists the user in the correct serial
port selection (com 1, 2, 3 or 4).

Removal:
The RemDisk program can be terminated by going to
a DOS prompt and entering in the command Remdisk /U
The RemDisk utility can be removed from your
autoexec.bat by deleting the line in the file that reads: RemDisk
After removing this file from the Autoexec.bat
file the RemDisk.exe file can also be deleted
from the user's root directory on their C: drive.

P.C. Operation - Compatibility - Other Requirements:
Using these two utilities require you to boot your
P.C. with the Remdisk as an executable in your P.C.'s
Autoexec.bat file. RemDisk cannot be executed in
a DOS window or DOS command line.
This utility has been tested and found to run
correctly under Microsoft Windows� 95 & 98.
The Utility will not correctly work with Microsoft
Window Millennium, NT or 2000.
This utility is backward compatible with all released
Apex III Operating System version.
