Revision 3.0 of the Apex Program Generator is now available. The new Version 3.0 Program Generator provides a number of new powerful features and functions for the user, continuing Compseeâs leadership position as the best price-performance program generator on the market today.
The new Version 3.0 Program Generator is the result of extensive surveys we conducted with our customers to help identify the ideal combination of features and costs that will best meet the marketâs needs. Our main goal was to provide the customer the ability to create sophisticated data collection routines with a minimum level of programming effort. The power and flexibility of the Compsee Program Generator empowers the user to control all their programming needs without dependency upon outside software programming providers.
The highlights of Version 3.0 Program Generator are as follows:
- Improved User Interface - We have improved the look of the Apex Program Generator. By incorporating Tab controls, related items have been grouped and the number of menus have been minimized. This makes the user interface more intuitive and program execution more robust.
- Saving Registers - The Apex Program Generator now allows the operator to store registers to the data file. Refer to Record Layouts for more information.
- Record Layout - The Apex Program Generator now supports record reordering. The user can select which input fields and registers to be stored in the data file, and in what order the data is stored.
- Copy and Pasting Fields - The user can copy and paste fields by simply selecting a field and using the standard Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V keys.
- Combining String Information - The registers now allow the user to store string information and also combine string data information into one register.
- Register Wizards - The Apex Program Generator now provides a Math Wizard. The wizard will lead the user step by step through creating and modifying Register information.
- Improved Grid Control - The Apex Program Generator grids have been enhanced to provide improved user interface.
- Century Date Stamp for year 2000 compliance - The century can easily be added to the date field by simply enabling the century date checkbox on the Data Collection Window.
- User Preferences - The user can define general information concerning preferred setup for the Program Generator's working environment. This information is saved with the project map file and is available from the Options Menu by selecting the General Tab.
- Command Line Parameters - The user can now start the Apex Program Generator and pass command line parameters.
