The Apex II Program Generator update Version 3.01 provides a number of enhancements and improvements to existing features and functions, continuing Compsee's leadership position as the best price-performance program generator on the market today.

The Apex II Program Generator Version 3.01 provides four new and practical enhancements.

• Enhanced Command Line Parameters
  
  In Version 3.0 we introduced the command line parameter capability. This feature enabled users to start the Apex Program Generator and pass information from a command line. In an effort to continuously improve our Program Generator we have now added a "port" parameter. Users can now easily re-direct serial port communications to a different COM port via the command line.
• Enhanced User Preferences
  
  With the 3.01 update, the user can now easily define and control the Program Generator's working environment. This information is conveniently saved with the project map file and is quickly accessed from the Options Menu by simply selecting the General Tab. Additionally, we have added a new option to conveniently disable system messages when running the Program Generator from the command line.
• Expanded Math Registers
  
  The Math Register capability has always been a powerful and unique feature of the Apex II Program Generator. Now users have the ability to manipulate not only numeric data, but also alphanumeric values from fields or data contained in a lookup file. Registers can be automatically reset at an input prompt or reset based on a user-defined condition. This powerful enhancement allows the condition's value to be defined as a either a constant, a field or accessed from a lookup file.
• Record Layout
  
  In Version 3.0 the Apex Program Generator introduced record reordering. This flexible feature conveniently allowed the user to select which input fields and registers to store in the data file, as well as selecting the order in which the data would be stored. This feature has now been enhanced to ensure smoother operation.

Suggested list price for the Apex II Program Generator is $395. This includes the Program Generator on 3.5" diskettes, and a printed handbook. Current users of the program generator may purchase the upgrade to Version 3.01 for $50. Please reference your original invoice number when upgrading. The Version 3.01 demo program is available to Compsee resellers for $50 or it can be downloaded for free from the Compsee website at http://www.compsee.com.
