Compsee Inc, Introduces New Business Model
Mt. Gilead, North Carolina - August 20, 1999 - Compsee,
a leading manufacturer and supplier of automatic data collection
(AIDC) products and customized integrated systems, today announced
the introduction of its new corporate business model. Designed to
better support AIDC users and value-added resellers (VARs), the
company's new model provides total systems integration capabilities
and 24 hour access to Compsee through the launch of the company's
new Electronic Response & Information Center (ERIC).
Under its new model, Compsee will service its end user clients
and VARs through three virtual divisions serving as a:
- National, automatic data capture total systems-solution integrator,
- Manufacturer of Auto ID equipment, including portables, associated
tracking packages and wedges for application solutions, and
- Supplier of "best-of-breed" bar code data collection
products and peripherals, such as radio frequency data collection
systems, both laser and CCD scanners, printers, ribbons, labels,
and magnetic stripe readers.
To support this expanded corporate mission, Compsee's Electronic
Response and Information Center, located at www.compsee.com, embraces
state-of-the-art web technology to better serve the information
needs of its customers.
"This dynamic web portal integrates voice, video and data
to create a Compsee community and virtual company where it will
be very easy for visitors to find what they need," said Billy
Graham, VP Marketing. The entire site is searchable for ease of
use. "When you visit ERIC, it will be like a busy harbor with
cargo ships of containerized data." Visitors will be able to
navigate the waters themselves, or simply sit back, watch and listen
as a Compsee representative or VAR guides them through an on-line
presentation of Compsee's total solutions capabilities".
ERIC will make Compsee a virtual company. "All the information
a customer or a VAR needs to do business with Compsee will be available
on ERIC. The video and voice enhanced data will be accessible from
anywhere," said Graham.
Through ERIC, visitors can tour successful installations via video
or text, learn about products and services offered by Compsee and
its suppliers, and even download demos of Compsee's automatic data
capture products.
The real-time portal features enhanced Powerpoint presentations
and white papers with voice accompaniment to make learning easier
and faster. Educational resources cover communications networking,
such as radio frequency data communications (RF/DC), and host connectivity
issues. A calendar of seminars and trade shows, as well as links
to software updates, are also located on ERIC.
"Reseller-only accessible areas provide our strategic partners
with a variety of detailed sales support tools and information,
training presentations, and more. In the near future, we will add
chat functionality and provide weekly and monthly seminars and presentations,"
Graham concluded.
Compsee is a national, total-solutions provider dedicated to embracing
the latest technology to better serve medium- to large-sized companies
with automatic data capture solutions that increase accuracy and
productivity. Compsee offers a technically trained, in-house staff
and team of carefully selected value-added resellers to provide
customized software and flexible systems integration services.
