Wireless LAN ROI / Cost-Benefit Study
ABSTRACT
A fundamental challenge facing information technology
(IT) decision makers is identifying and implementing architectures,
technologies, and processes that reduce the total cost of ownership
(TCO) of corporate networks.
One way to reduce TCO is by implementing a wireless
LAN solution.
According to results of a study conducted by the Wireless
LAN Alliance (WLANA), companies that understand the true costs and
economic benefits of wireless LAN systems will generate quicker
return on investments. These companies will also stretch IT resources
further than companies taking a "wait and see" approach, especially
now that a solid standard exists for wireless LAN networking.
