Communications and Network Access

    The Vehicle-mount Apex VM-1 comes RF Ethernet-ready. Simply install one of the supported IEEE802.11b PCMCIA wireless Ethernet cards - including Symbol Spectrum-24 and Cisco/Aironet, among others - and connect the antenna cable to the card. Use the included antenna, or connect your vehicle-mounted antenna to the terminal's antenna mount.


Automated Data Collection Options
  • Built-in bar code decoder is standard - use low-cost undecoded laser scanners, bar code wands, and external slot readers

Display Options
  • Your choice of integral backlit LCD displays:
  • Monochrome � VGA (640 pixels wide by 240 pixels high) backlit LCD is standard
    • Color � VGA 640 x 240 backlit LCD is optional
  • Terminals with monochrome screens are particularly well suited for outdoor applications and in direct lighting situations. The monochrome LCD is a reflective technology with very high contrast when viewed in direct light.
  • Operational temperature range is determined by the display option chosen. Without the display heater, the temperature range for monochrome is -10C to 50C; color is 10C to 40C.
