      Keyboard Wedge for PC's, PS/2's AND MAC's

      The Bar Code Connector offers a dependable, easy to use and install, cost-effective solution to adding a bar code reader to your personal computer.

      Remove the unit from its shipping box and simply plug the "Y" cable of The Bar Code Connector between the keyboard and display and begin scanning bar codes. Without having to change you applications software, bar coded data will appear on the screen as if you had keyed it in. Power is drawn from the keyboard, so you don't even have to add a power supply.

      Utilizing state-of-the-art, enhanced decoding algorithms, The Bar Code Connector will amaze you with its aggressive, and most important, accurate first time read rate. Without programming, the unit reads all the popular bar code.

      Designed for easy installation, The Bar Code Connector is packaged in a kit with a reading device. Based on you application needs, select from the off-the-shelf-kits that include a High Density Wand, a CCD (near contact 0"-4"), or a Hand Held Laser Reader.

        • Insert transmission delays to match key input to the software
        • Adapt for bar codes that contain embedded function key codes
        • Default to factory setting
        • Display program status to the terminal display

        • Enable or Disable the reading of a symbology
        • Set maximum and minimum acceptable lengths
        • Set for transmission of Start and Stop Characters
        • Program for check digit verification and transmission of the check character.

        • Program to enable or disable UPC-E zero suppression
        • Program for enable or disable transmission of UPC, EAN & JAN number system digit and check digit.
