General Description

The QS6000 Plus is the pinnacle member of the QuickScan™ family of bar code scanners designed with retail and non-industrial applications in mind. Other members are the QS200, a CCD bar code reader, and the QS1000, a triggerless laser scanner, providing a full range of scanning products to meet many different applications.

The QS6000 Plus was designed with the retailer in mind. With the new LM500

Plus scan engine, the QS6000 Plus has a superior depth of field, reading out to

37.5 inches on 55 mil labels. And with 100% UPC codes, the QS6000 Plus reads an impressive 13� (33cm), the best in its class.

Dual interfaces allow the QS6000 Plus to be very flexible. And with the AutoSelect™ cables, switching interfaces is as easy as changing cables. This means fewer cables to stock and fewer models for resellers to carry. With the largest number of dual interfaces available, the QS6000 Plus can go from the front end to the back room easily.

New with the QS6000 Plus is the 650 nm laser option that allows the user to target and read bar codes even in bright light conditions, due to the scanner�s inherent tolerance of high ambient light conditions. Plus, PSC�s advanced optics perform well even when reading low contrast labels with poor edge definition.

The QS6000 Plus incorporates the most advanced, high durability features available today. Anti-shock mounts built to absorb up to 1500 G�s protect the reading engine and optics. In fact, the QS6000 Plus can withstand repeated five-foot drops to concrete.

The QS6000 Plus also features a strong, plastic enclosure that guards against liquid and dust infiltration. A tough, rubber-like shield cushions the scanner when dropped, protects the scan window from scratching and prevents the scanner from slipping off counter surfaces. The coiled cable, with strain relief and end cap, is made from rugged tear-resistant polyurethane and retains its memory after repeated flexing and stretching.

Checkpoint EAS is also available on the QS6000 Plus.

• High Visibility Laser - with the LM500 Plus scan module is an optional 650nm laser, providing a high visibility scan beam that reads in bright light conditions
• Dual Interfaces - the QS6000 Plus offers the greatest number of dual interfaces of any scanners in its class.
• Over the past year, many �specials� were added to the QS6000, and are now incorporated into the new QS6000 Plus as standard. Among these are the reading capability of Pharmacode 39 and full ASCII Code 39.

Warranty

All QS6000 Plus models are warranted for two years against defects in workmanship and materials from the date of manufacture. The scan mechanism, comprised of the dithering assembly, is warranted for the life of the product to the original purchaser. The unit will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of PSC upon receipt of the failed unit.
