The compact VS800 is the choice for any retailer where counter space is at a premium. With a small footprint and a variety of mounting options, the VS800 can fit on the counter, on a back wall, or under a shelf. It can even be mounted onto the side of a POS system or under the counter! And special mounting options allow it to tilt or swivel to meet the exact requirements of the user.

Exceptional Ease of Use

The advanced scan pattern virtually eliminates the need for operator training. It naturally accommodates different styles and reduces check out time, whether bar codes are presented to or swept by the scanner.

Durable and Reliable: Built to Last in a Store

The VS800 is specially designed to survive multiple drops from countertop to the floor. Maintenance is virtually non-existent Ð simply clean the scanner and window periodically. In the event that product repair is required, service may be performed without returning the unit to the factory, which can reduce down time significantly.

Connectivity to almost Any Point of Sale System

Support for all popular POS interfaces is available, including IBM, RS-232, OCIA, keyboard wedge and wand interfaces. Other interfaces and advanced data editing will be available through the Universal Wedge Version. Single, dual and triple interfaces are available. On many interfaces, the VS800 can be operated directly from power supplied by the POS, eliminating the need for an external power supply and power cord.

Relationship to other PSC Products

The VS800 is PSC�s lowest priced fixed position scanner. The VS800 differs from Duet, because the VS800 is not designed for handheld applications that require single line scanning.

Warranty

All VS800 models are warranted for one year against defects in workmanship and materials from the date of manufacture. The unit will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of PSC upon receipt of the failed unit.
