      LaserWedge 30-QS

      Integrated Laser Diode Scanner
      and Keyboard Wedge

      INPUT OPTIONS:

    • Bar Code Input via the Laser Reader
    • Magnetic Stripe Input via the MSR Port

    • TheLaserWedge 30-QS combines the capabilities of a cost effective, compact, hand held scanner with the flexibility and mobility of the Compsee keyboard wedge.

The LaserWedge 30-QS has been designed with the user in mind. With its fieldproven optics you will read bar code labels quickly and accurately. Its lightweight, ergonomic design ensures ease of use and operator comfort. It is designed to be durable with the rubber encased scanner nose to prevent damage from constant use.

The unique cable design for the LaserWedge 30-QS allows for connection of a magnetic swipe reader for applications requiring keyboard entry of both bar code and magnetic stripe (credit card) data.

Simple programming via menus allow the user to customize the unit to match the keyboard input required by their present software. The user can verify the input data to inhibit invalid data, as well as format the data to match screen input. The LaserWedge 30-QS is designed to eliminate as much as possible the manual entry of data.

The LaserWedge 30-QS consists of 3 major components all built into an ergonomic hand held unit:

Scanner: A visible laser diode based, hand
                        held moving beam, non-contact scanner
Decode: Onboard bar code decoding, including user
programmability to qualify and edit the data.
Keyboard Wedge: The LaserWedge simply plugs in between
the keyboard and display sending data to
the display as if it were keyed.
The keyboard remains active at all times.
